Cookstown solid ash kitchen makeover with some luxurious features.

This house had some old unsightly brickwork and a tired looking kitchen. Our client commissioned LPS to reconstruct the entire kitchen and utility space.

We began with demolishing the old brickwork piers, making the kitchen much more spacious. We then got work on taking out the old kitchen.

LPS - Cookstown - solid ash - kitchen makeover

Our client opted for solid ash doors painted doors with a subtle grain. The kitchen was topped with a high scoop cornice and T&G end panels.

The kitchen has some very luxurious features including a Franke, Villroy & Boch Belfast sink. Quartzstone worktops, Perrin & Rowe taps, a Falcon stove and a blue lit wine cooler.

What it used to look like…

Our client’s kitchen used to be cramped and had unsightly doors, tiles and brickwork.

Not just the kitchen

As with most of our projects LPS didn’t stop with the kitchen units. We installed floor tiles, hall tiles, skirting, feature lights and spot lights. And our team re-plastered the walls and ceiling. All of which was done by design to compliment this wonderful kitchen.

Portstewart kitchen re-imagined.

portsewart kitchen restoration

LPS carried out a modern, minimalistic refurbishment on this Portstewart kitchen. This was a fully imported German kitchen.

The project involved re-imagining the existing kitchen to better suit the renovation works to the home. The home had a new modern facade, a brighter, roomier entrance hall and living area. And our client needed a kitchen to match.

Our client opted for white gloss doors and a combination of stainless steel and marble worktops. The kitchen (with an open plan living area) also included a high performance, powerful, extra wide cooker hood. The built-in fridge freezer and microwave have exposed elements in stainless steel and chrome to compliment the rest of the kitchen.

Although very bright during daylight hours, the space needed some custom lighting to make it warm and welcoming in the evening. LPS installed 2 feature lights over the island unit and a series of spotlights to highlight key worktop areas.

The result is a beautiful, bright, spacious kitchen area. Perfect for entertaining guests or cooking and enjoying family meals.

Don’t hestitate to get in touch to discuss a similar refurb project.

Belfast kitchen transformation after 25 years

belfast kitchen refurb

This 25 year old pine kitchen had dated ceramic tiled worktops and an Aga range cooker.

It was extremely dark and in our opinion had no potential to be refurbished due to its poor condition and disjointed layout.  The customer was offered a new design incorporating contemporary styling to compliment this beautiful Georgian style residence with its sash windows and beamed ceilings.

A total refurbishment was undertaken, starting with the stripping of existing quarry tiles and the installation of beautiful porcelain plank tiles in muted greys. Extensive re-plastering was required plus the re-siting of sockets and lighting as per our bespoke lighting plan. A completely new kitchen was then installed in solid Ash Shaker in a beautiful light grey colour by Little Greene Company.

As with all our kitchens, new T&G gables, cornice, light pelmets and kick boards were installed. Extra features include new Neff double oven and cooker, new extractor fan, under worktop lighting, american fridge freezer and full Blum soft close system. Work surfaces in Quartz stone and a stunning dropped peninsula unit on a round plinth were installed to create a relaxed dining area.

A Butlers press was introduced for amazing storage and incorporates a Quartz stone bottom shelf, producing a cool zone within the press. A Neff double oven was installed for improved access and an induction hob with stainless steel extractor fan compliment the overall clean lines of this refurbishment.

A new american fridge freezer was installed with side by side larder units, providing extensive food storage. Painted in a Little Greene Company  colour, this contrasts perfectly with the rest of the kitchen.

This was an amazing refurbishment and with the final addition of specialised wash-lights designed and fitted by  LPS, a stunning makeover was achieved.

Unique re-design creating much needed space for Portadown couple.

portadown kitchen restorations

This well kept 15 year old solid oak arched kitchen, with T&G pine ceiling and dark brown ceramic tiles had very little accessible work surface and no dining area and required a total rethink.

We came up with a unique re-design which involved breaking through from the kitchen window into the existing sun room to open up the space and create an easily accessible dining area.

The new kitchen island with integrated soft close drawers, under-mounted sink and feature bookcase gave a completely new look to the space and was hugely successful.

The existing doors were prepped and re-sprayed, the T&G pine ceiling was removed, allowing installation of new, efficient LED lights as per the new bespoke lighting plan, and re-plastered to create a smooth ceiling, more in keeping with this contemporary kitchen.

As with all our kitchens, new T&G gables, cornice, light pelmets and kick boards were installed. Extra features include a new american fridge freezer, extractor fan, glass display cabinet and a full Blum soft close system. New Quartz stone surfaces were installed and a new feature radiator was re-positioned.

The kitchen island with its glass display cabinet enhances the kitchen and with the addition of a pop up socket and phone charger created a central hub within the kitchen.

The customer chose one of the darker colours from the Farrow & Ball range and with the soft tones of the Quartz stone work surfaces and porcelain tiles created a calm environment.

This was a hugely successful refurbishment with fantastic savings for our client and has totally reinvented this kitchen.

Beautiful Farrow & Ball revamp…

kitchen restoration in magherafelt

This 15 year old, homely kitchen was ideal for a full restoration, having been carefully maintained over the years.

The new solid oak shaker-style doors, painted in one of Farrow and Ball’s lighter colours are complemented by high pressure laminate worktops in black with gloss wall tiles to create a sharp clean look.

Fortunately on this kitchen, we were able to restore the existing units, saving time and money. As with all our kitchens, new T&G gables, cornice, light pelmets and kick boards were installed.

“Extra features include new Franke Sink and tap, new extractor fan, full Blum soft close system and open shelves with T&G backs. “

LPS Team

A sleek black granite windowsill enhances the look of the new worktop which is topped with a new glazed feature display cabinet. Large soft grey porcelain tiles were used to make the kitchen look larger and the diagonal glazed door replaced with a new solid door to create a more contemporary look.

A new breakfast bar was created where the old tall fridge housing unit was located thus allowing a new under-counter fridge and a more intelligent use of space. Overall, a brilliant budget refurbishment keeping what was valuable whilst indulging in new doors.
